Mia Yim released a statement on Twitter to reveal that she has tested positive for COVID-19. In the statement, Yim asks for privacy and everyone to stay safe, wear a mask, and wash their hands.
Yim hasn’t been seen on WWE programming since she was defeated by Nikki Cross on Main Event in December. Her absence led to speculation that she had tested positive for COVID-19 but Yim shot down these rumours a few hours before she indeed tested positive.
This is the second time that an active WWE Superstar has tested positive for COVID-19 that we know of. Earlier this month WWE Champion, Drew McIntyre revealed he had tested positive and quarantined for two weeks.
Chelsea Green had stated that she had tested positive and recovered in September. This was prior to making her debut on SmackDown and she had been out of action for months prior.
All at Diva Dirt wish Mia Yim a speedy recovery and hope to see her back on WWE television soon.
