Miranda Alize explains what sets her apart from the rest in ROH

Miranda Alize has found herself in the finals of the ROH Women’s Championship tournament and is one win away from becoming the new champion for a rejuvenated division. She faces Rok-C on Sept. 12 at Death Before Dishonor to start a new lineage of the ROH Women’s World Championship.

Alize has picked up some surprise wins according to some fans in this tournament. Now that she is secure in the finals and all eyes will be on her to determine a new champion, she spoke on ROHStrong Podcast about what sets her apart from the other women in ROH.

“I don’t think I had anything to prove and I think that’s what sets me apart from everybody else. Literally everybody in this tournament. I mean I have watched [obviously] all of my opponents and I think all of the fans have watch also. Literally, every single girl that talks about this tournament, they all have to prove something. Everybody’s said it. Quinn McKay says it all the time. She has to prove to herself. Chelsea Green said it on her debut of Ring of Honor, she has to prove to herself, she has to prove to the fans. Nicole Savoy‘s said it. Rok-C’s says it.

Everybody has to prove theirselves. I don’t have to prove myself to anybody. And I think that’s why I am in the finals. It just is what it is. I don’t have to prove myself to anybody, I know my ability. I know how good I am, and I’ve proved this to myself a long ago. I am so past that stage. And that’s why I am where I’m at and why other people are where their at.

Yeah, I don’t get a lot of love from the fans. I don’t get a lot of love from the rest of the community, but that’s okay. I have myself. I’m my own support system – I pat myself on the back. I’m not a follower, I’m a leader.”

Alize has defeated Alex Gracia, Nicole Savoy, and Trish Adora in order to make it to the finals. All three noteworthy names.

Not to count out Rok-C she has defeated two form Women of Honor Champions, Sumie Sakai and Angelina Love. Rok-C also took out Quinn McKay who is certainly a spitfire and as Alize stated in her interview has a lot to prove.
