Hola Diva Dirt! Before we head to London for All In, we make a quick stop to Arena México for AEW Grand Slam Mexico!
In Trios action tonight, the AEW Women’s World Tag Team Champions, Divine Dominion, team up with their CEO, Mercedes Moné, to take on the AEW Women’s World Champion, Willow Nightingale, and The Brawling Birds. After an altercation during Nightingale’s championship celebration last week, these teams look to settle their beef tonight in the ring.
Nightingale wants to get her hands on Moné, but the match starts off with Alex Windsor and Megan Bayne. Windsor tags into her partner, Jamie Hayter, as all three work together to take down Bayne. Bayne gets the tag out, and Moné tries to hit the Three Amigos as things break down. The Divine Dominion meets a pair of Cannonballs, and Hayter goes high risk to take out “The CEO” and her Krew.
Moné and Nightingale clash in the middle of the ring, and both tag out to Lena Kross and Hayter. The Brawling Birds batter Kross, but Bayne comes to save her. Both tag teams are battling back and forth, but find themselves wiping each other out. That leaves Moné and Nightingale to tag in and face one-on-one. Nightingale looks to hit Babe With The Powerbomb, but backslides in to pick up the win.
After this win, the Brawling Birds now have their chance at the tag team championships as they challenge the Divine Dominion at All In.
In the home of CMLL, we have the CMLL Women’s World Champion, Persephone, taking on the likes of Kris Statlander. These two have had issues with each other since their bout to contend for the TBS Championship, and look to settle the score tonight. The new Mexican National Champion, Thunder Rosa, is in the crowd tonight to cheer on Statlander.
The two powerhouses show off their agility, as Statlander hits a flip right on the outside to Persephone. Statlander looks for a Guillotine Legdrop but misses, as Persephone soars over the top rope to take Statlander out.
Persephone gets into it with Rosa in the crowd and bashes Rosa in the head with the Mexican National Championship. Meanwhile, Statlander dives off the apron to take out both Persephone and the referee.
Hikaru Shida comes in and interrupts as she takes the Mexican National belt and knocks Statlander out with it. Persephone hits the Frog Splash and gets the uno, dos, tres for the win. The TBS Champion, Maya World, and Hyan come out to even the odds and check in on Statlander.
