NWA Plans To Introduce A Women’s Television Title Belt

The NWA is reportedly set to introduce a third women’s championship into its women’s division.

The women of NWA currently have the long history of “The Burke” – NWA World Women’s Title as well as the return last year of the NWA World Women’s Tag Team Titles. The tag titles were brought back into the company decades after they were deactivated at NWA’s all-female event EmPowerrr last August.

According to a report by PWInsider, NWA will be introducing a Women’s Television Championship. This will be announced during the upcoming episode of NWA Powerrr. The announcement is set to be made by Madusa.  The belt is currently being designed by NWA President Billy Corgan and Dave Millican.

PWInsider adds that there is no current timetable as to when the belt will be introduced into the company. However, it could be as soon as the NWA 74 event in August. They have confirmed that there’s been talk of the belt being a push for Allysin Kay. Kay is a former NWA World Women’s Champion and alongside Marti Belle became the first tag champs when the belts returned last year.

Kay will be in action this Saturday at ROH’s Death Before Dishonor on the pre-show against Willow Nightingale.

The current champions in NWA include Kamille who has held the NWA World Women’s Title for 410-days. Pretty Empowered are the tag champs who defeated Kay & Belle in June.

The July 19 episode of Powerrr had Max the Impaler win a Three-way match against Taya Valkyrie and Ella Envy.
