NXT 2.0 WarGames Preview & Predictions: 12.05.21

The first big event of the NXT 2.0 era takes place this Sunday and looks to be a doozy as two teams of four go to war inside WarGames!

The women’s WarGames match features a four-on-four match inside the steel structure. Kay Lee Ray, Io Shirai, Raquel Gonzalez, and Cora Jade will do battle against NXT Women’s Champion Mandy Rose, NXT Women’s Tag Team Champions Gigi Dolin & Jacy Jayne, and Dakota Kai.

WWE NXT 2.0 Women’s WarGames

Ever since returning to the brand and creating Toxic Attraction, Rose has been on fire. The trio has dominated their respective divisions capturing all of the titles available to them.

At Halloween Havoc, Dolin and Jayne won the tag titles in a brutal Triple Threat ladder match. The match resulted in Zoey Stark being put on the sidelines due to an injury and Shirai looking for revenge.

On the same show, Rose shockingly defeated Raquel Gonzalez for the women’s championship with assistance from a shovel-wielding Kai.

Their individual rivalries intertwined leading to Ray and Jade being added to the face team.

On the recent edition of NXT 2.0, Ray defeated Kai in a great ladder match to earn her team the advantage in the upcoming WarGames match.

John: The two teams give off an NXT vs NXT 2.0 vibe so fully expect to see Toxic Attraction, who are an instrumental act in the new version of NXT, do away with the talent linked to the yellow and gold of old.

Nick: I see each team benefiting from a win here and could see either team taking it. With the champions on one side, it would be easy to say that Toxic Attraction and Dakota Kai will pick up the win. However, I am going with perhaps the unpopular opinion and going with Io, Raquel, Cora, and KLR. WarGames last year used Raquel Gonzalez winning to give her a push and I feel they may do the same with Cora this year.
