For this week’s NXT there are a couple of matches being advertised.
As reported earlier today, the newly signed Zoey Stark will be receiving a great opportunity by facing the NXT Women’s Champion Io Shirai in a non-title match. This match could be really good and/or it may just be a setup to allow Toni Storm to attack Shirai. Either way on paper it is good for Stark who had a powerful debut last week.
Secondly Xia Li swore to “purge” Kacy Catanzaro this week after she marked her last week. Li and Catanzaro are in action tonight and things could get interesting.
Although not advertised, the big winners of the Dusty Cup have a Women’s Tag Team Championship match next week. Could we see the champions Shayna Baszler and Nia Jax show up on NXT again to try to get in the head of Dakota Kai and Raquel Gonzalez?
Tensions are also high for the Robert Stone brand and Aliyah and Jessi Kamea are NOT on the same page. What does this argument mean for the brand? According to Stone, they have the night off….but they have some work to do regardless.
