Tonight’s NXT is The Great American Bash and there is one women’s match on the card and it is for the NXT Women’s Tag Team Championships. The challengers, Io Shirai and Zoey Stark will be taking on the champions, The Way (Indi Hartwell and Candice LeRae).
Since Shirai’s return, she has had The Way in her sights and Stark made the save a few weeks back to help her out. The makeshift team of Stark and Shirai won a number one contender’s Triple Threat last week beating out Ember Moon & Shotzi Blackheart and Dakota Kai & NXT Women’s Champion Raquel Gonzalez. This earned them this opportunity.
