Halloween Havoc is tonight on NXT 2.0 and there are two big matches for the women’s championships. With this event back comes the ‘Spin the Wheel, Make the Deal’ aspect where a stipulation based on the spin of a wheel will be added to these matches.
First, we have the NXT Women’s Tag Team Championships which will be defended in a Triple Threat match.
Io Shirai & Zoey Stark (c) vs. Toxic Attraction vs. Indi Hartwell & Persia Pirotta
The wheel has already been spun by Io Shirai to determine the belts will be defended in a Scareway to Hell Ladder Match. Shirai earned the right spin the win after winning a Triple Threat Match against Persia Pirotta and Jacy Jayne. That encounter went down to a one-on-one after Jayne had a scare from a suicide dive that made medical take her to the back. The most recent news on Jayne was that after receiving some tests she did not suffer any serious injury or concussion and will still be in this upcoming match. She confirmed her involvement on Twitter.
Toxic Attraction is looking to do a clean sweep at Halloween Havoc starting with the tag titles. Hartwell is looking to become the first woman to win the tag titles more than once.
Predictions:
Nick: Toxic Attraction seems to be built up the most here. I will give the win to them. Io has been ready to move onto the main roster.
John: Hartwell will become the first woman to hold the tag belts twice. Indi and Persia will take the win here.
The second match is for the NXT Women’s Championship. The current champion Raquel Gonzalez has held the title since defeating Io Shirai in April. Since returning to NXT, Mandy Rose has had her eye on the top prize.

The one thing looming for this match is the wheel has not spun yet so heading into tonight, the stipulation is unknown. Gonzalez has defeated some big names since winning the gold. Ember Moon, Mercedes Martinez, Xia Li, Dakota Kai, and most recently Franky Monet have fallen at their chances of becoming champion. Now with Gonzalez just over 200-days as champion she is still putting in the work to make sure she remains the champ.
On the flip side, Mandy Rose is more determined than ever to win her first championship in WWE. She has come close in the past, mostly with the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles, but she has been unable to secure gold in her career. Will this be her time?
Predictions:
Nick: I give Toxic Attraction the full win and Mandy will win her first gold. If they don’t capitalize on Mandy’s return to NXT here then not sure where she would next go? There is a mystery person who will be showing up at tonight’s show and if it is Dakota Kai as many think, she could be the one to cause Gonzalez to take her eye off of the match.
John: Mandy wins her first championship. Gonzalez to move to the main roster shortly after, preferably on SmackDown.
As just mentioned, there is a mystery person who will be making their way to the show tonight. Based on many clues in the vignettes that have aired many have pointed it to be Dakota Kai. Another name could be Ember Moon as she has been hinting at a change to her character.
