NXT TakeOver: WarGames has been announced and will be taking place on Dec. 6. The promo shown hyping up the event focuses around the women and has Shotzi Blackheart wanting revenge against Candice LeRae. Blackheart warns LeRae that she better get herself an army.
Last year’s WarGames was a launching pad for storylines that preceded it for months. It featured the very first women’s WarGames match.
Dakota Kai turned heel at that moment and attacked her best friend Tegan Nox. This led Rhea Ripley and LeRae to go at it by themselves against the full team of Shayna Baszler, Bianca Belair, Io Shirai, and Kay Lee Ray. Ripley and LeRae beat the odds and survived the match.
This year it seems to be all about vengeance for Blackheart as LeRae destroyed her tank a couple of weeks ago.
