NXT Women’s Tag Team Titles Stay Put; Elektra Lopez Returns

The Halloween Havoc fallout episode of NXT this week had three women’s matches that took place and in general showcased many women throughout the programming.

The match results are as follows –

Kayden Carter & Katana Chance (c) defeated Nikkita Lyons & Zoey Stark to retain the NXT Women’s Tag Team Championships

Shotzi defeated Lash Legend

Indi Hartwell defeated Sol Ruca

Elektra Lopez Returns

Ava Raine was revealed as the Red Hoodie in Schism

Carter and Chance are still the NXT Women’s Tag Team Championships but they almost weren’t. Lyons and Stark were actually declared the winners during the match but the gold slipped through their fingers when the match was restarted. The referee did not see the tag to Stark so when she pinned Chance that was actually not the right call. The match restarted and eventually Chance would pin Lyons off of the 450 to retain the titles.

In an exclusive, Stark and Lyons talked about their loss and discuss a rematch.

Next, after Shotzi was the co-host of Halloween Havoc she had a run-in with Lash Legend. The two went one-on-one on this week’s NXT. After Legend caught Shotzi in the corner she would get slapped before Shotzi delivered the Never Wake Up to get the victory. She would celebrate with Quincy Elliott in the ring after the match.

Lastly, Indi Hartwell took on Sol Ruca. This is Ruca’s only second match on NXT programming. She has had several matches on Level Up but her first match was in September when she defeated Amari Miller. This go around she was unable to defeat the more veteran Hartwell.

After the match, Elektra Lopez returned. This was the first time Lopez was seen since August when she left with Legado del Fantasma. Now on SmackDown, LDF is with Zelina Vega. Lopez returns and attacks both Hartwell and Ruca and showing that she is ready to make an impression.

Ava Raine made her NXT debut as a member of Schism. She was revealed as the red hoodie person. More on that can be read here.

Mandy Rose retained her NXT Women’s Championship at Halloween Havoc by defeating Alba Fyre. There was a video package with Rose and the rest of Toxic Attraction as they prepare for next week’s celebration. Rose will be officially champion for 365-days on Oct. 26 and she will celebrate with her Toxic Attraction stablemates next week.
