Welcome back to the NXT weekly recap! The show revolved around two clear priorities: resolving who would challenge NXT Women’s Champion Jacy Jayne next and intensifying the increasingly personal feud between Jaida Parker and Blake Monroe. Let’s dive right into it.
Jaida Parker vs. Blake Monroe
Parker came out aggressive from the bell, immediately snapping Monroe over with a crisp German suplex that rattled Blake early. Parker transitioned into a tight leg scissors around Monroe’s waist, grinding her down until Blake finally reached the ropes for the break.
Monroe answered by sending Parker throat-first across the top rope, then leaping into a sharp Thesz Press with mounted punches. Parker fired back with a forearm, but Blake regained control by whipping Parker into the turnbuckle and unloading forearms across her back.
Parker retaliated by wrenching Blake’s arm against the ropes, but Monroe reversed momentum with a drop-toe hold that sent Parker face-first into the commentary table. The action spilled into a break, with Blake firmly in control.
When things resumed, Monroe leaned into the villain role — even mocking Parker’s signature high-stepping before hitting a corner hurricanrana in clear Trish Stratus homage. She followed with a dropkick that staggered Parker.
Parker surged back with a back elbow, a clothesline, and a shoulder tackle before planting Monroe with a Samoan Drop. She propped Blake against the middle turnbuckle, delivered her hip-drop attack, and strutted with the high-step taunt.
The fight then spilled to the outside, where Parker launched Monroe into the steel steps. Neither woman beat the referee’s count.
Match Result: Double Countout
The bell did nothing to cool things off.
Parker set Monroe against the steel steps and crushed her with another hip drop on the floor. She charged for a Hipnotic, but Blake moved — and Parker accidentally flattened a referee instead.
Security rushed in. Parker responded by hitting a low blow on one guard, clotheslining another, and booting a third into the barricade. By the time order was restored, Monroe had escaped, leaving the two women glaring daggers across the ringside area.
Backstage Spotlight: Tatum Paxley
A striking, surreal video package aired on Tatum Paxley, framed almost like an art film with Paxley submerged in water. She spoke about searching for clarity, purpose, and “the right mindset,” framing her long-running conflict with Izzi Dame as something more psychological than personal.
The implication was clear: Paxley believes that defeating Dame for the NXT Women’s North American Championship would complete her transformation. Whether that actually happens remains uncertain — but the story has been brewing for a long time.
Lola Vice and Kelani Jordan Backstage Segment
Backstage, Lola Vice — one-half of the AAA Mixed Tag Team Champions — spoke with interim GM Robert Stone, who was icing her injured right hand. Stone confirmed Vice would face Kelani Jordan next week, and Vice insisted she wanted the match.
Before anything could be settled, Jordan immediately attacked Vice, setting up their match for next week..
#1 Contender Match: Sol Ruca & Zaria vs. Kendal Grey & Wren Sinclair
Whoever scored the winning pinfall or submission would earn a future match against Jacy Jayne for the NXT Women’s Championship.
Grey and Wren showed sharp chemistry early, with Grey landing a crisp dropkick before Wren covered for two. Sol countered with a running splash on Wren, allowing Zaria to tag in for a double-team sequence.
Zaria then shoved Sol — the referee ruled it a tag — and when Sol tried to cover, Zaria angrily pulled her off. Sol hit an X-Factor on Wren for two, but Zaria made a blind tag.
Wren sent Zaria into the ropes and drilled her with a running dropkick. Grey followed with a double-foot stomp. The challengers attempted a double suplex, but Zaria powered out and hit a double suplex on both women instead.
Zaria surprisingly tagged Sol in willingly, leading to a double elbow and double elbow drop. Still, Zaria barked at Sol for going for a cover.
Grey and Wren regrouped by knocking both Ruca and Zaria over the top rope. Wren dove onto them from the top rope, and Grey followed with a moonsault to the floor. Break.
Back from break, Zaria controlled — until Grey countered with an impressive DDT. Sol tagged herself in against Wren, who answered with two clotheslines (including a running version), then an overhead suplex and X-Factor for two.
Sol countered a charge with a German suplex, then connected with a missile dropkick. Wren ducked a knee strike and rolled Sol up for two, but Sol fired back with a knee of her own for two, then another quick rollup for two.
Zaria tagged herself in again. Wren shoved Sol to the floor and rolled Zaria up for two. Zaria answered with a headbutt and a German suplex.
Grey tagged in and locked an armbar, but Zaria rolled through into a pin for two. Zaria landed a knee; Grey countered with an inside cradle; then hit a superkick — which accidentally knocked Sol off the apron. The referee ruled it a tag, making Sol legal.
Zaria speared Grey. Wren tried to intervene, but Zaria hit her version of the F5
Meanwhile, Sol leapt from the ropes for the Soul Snatcher on Grey. The timing was slightly off but Grey sold it cleanly. Sol covered.
New #1 Contender: Sol Ruca
Fatal Influence made their entrance in the closing moments of the show to stare down the new #1 Contender.
Sol getting the decisive pin is bound to aggravate Zaria further, even though Sol simply seized her moment. With both Sol and Jacy clearly main-roster bound, this felt like a story beat rather than a final destination.
