The May 18 episode of Raw saw the continuance of a rivalry between the WWE Women’s Intercontinental Champion Becky Lynch and Raw rookie, Sol Ruca. Ruca has excelled immensely in her four years under the NXT brand, but Lynch isn’t convinced of her placement on Raw.
The words between the two women started backstage, but Ruca took it out to the ring, much to the shock of Lynch. Ruca talked her way into a match against Lynch this Saturday for Saturday’s Night Main Event. However, Lynch will not put the title on the line as she feels that Ruca hasn’t earned that opportunity.
Later in the night, the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles were on the line. The champions, Paige and Brie Bella defended against the Judgment Day’s Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez. The Women’s World Champion, Liv Morgan, was at ringside.
Morgan gets involved in the match as she shoved Brie off the top turnbuckle. The referee noticed there was some funny business going on, so she ejected Morgan from ringside. As Morgan was arguing with the referee, Rodriguez tossed a tag title belt in for Perez to use. She missed Brie with it who rolled up Perez for the three count. As Paige and Brie were celebrating on the outside, Morgan returned and attacked them from behind.
Lyra Valkyria’s music hit and herself and Bayley rushed to the ring to help. They targeted the Judgment Day trio to end the segment.
