Persephone Wins Grand Prix De Amazonas 2025!

Hola a todos, and welcome to the CMLL Weekly Review!

First on Tuesday the newly formed alliance of veterans wrestlers Marcela, Princesa Sugehit and La Magnifica succesfully debuted in tag action defeating Sanely, CMLL Tag Champ Lluvia and the Mexican National Women’s Champion and newly crowned Universal Women’s Champion India Sioux.

They will go on as Las Artemisas, as they announced it this past Wednesday during CMLL Informa.

The same Tuesday night we also had a triple-threat match between fan favorites La Catalina, Persephone, and Zeuxis. In a competitive encounter it was La Catalina that was able to get the job done, winning the match with a knee to Perse”s face.

While en los martes de glamour from La Arena Coliseo de Guadalajara, the CMLL had their fourth Lucha Femenil de Naciones, (CMLL’s third all women’s show of the year & second overall in a week) feauting different tag matches focusing mainly in promising young mexican talent and international women wretlers like Tessa Blanchard, Kanji, and the joshis Koguma and Hazuki.

And finally last Friday Night CMLL held their annual Amazonas Grand Prix Cup, featuring wrestlers from different parts of the globe, including México, USA, and Japan.

In the main event of the night, the Amazons of the CMLL and the foreign talent battled in an elimination tournament. Amid the crowd’s devotion for México and the clash of different wrestling styles, the women were eliminated one by one.

Yet it was the breakout star of CMLL, Persephone, that prevailed and conquered, pinning AEW’s Thekla after a Razor’s Edge followed by a moonsault.
