Pro-Wrestling: EVE iPPV Rematch Today, Match in 3D, Tag Titles Announced & More

WrestleMania isn’t the only show today as in Britain, several promotions are banding together to present BritWresFest. The event will feature a Pro-Wrestling: EVE Championship match between Jenny Sjodin and Alpha Female, a rematch for their match on the No Man’s Land Internet pay per view in February.

EVE has also formally announced the formation of the EVE Tag Team Titles, which we first reported about in February.

Pro-Wrestling:EVE announce formation of Tag Team Championship!

EVE Management are today pleased to announce the formation of the Pro-Wrestling:EVE Tag Team Championship and the beginning of the EVE Tag Team Championship Tournament on April 28 as part of the huge IPW:UK/NWE “Revolution” Super-Show at the 3000 seated venue The Troxy in London. The opening match of the eight team tournament which will span several promotions around the country features the tag team specialists of Holly & Hannah – The Blossom Twins against the team of “Dynamite Queen” Nikki Storm & “Portugal’s Perfect Athlete” Shanna collectively known as Perfect Storm!

The Blossom Twins got off to rocky start in Pro-Wrestling:EVE with a loss to The Glamour Gym at the EVE iPPV “No Man’s Land” on February 18 however the loss did not come without controversy due to the way in which The Glamour Gym earned their victory. Things aren’t going to get any easier mind as the pair now look ahead to facing Perfect Storm on April 28 at The Troxy. “The Dynamite Queen” Nikki Storm has not been defeated since April 2011 – almost a full year ago and has since racked up victories against the likes of Ice Ribbon stars Tsukasa Fujimoto and Hikaru Shida in addition to winning the 2012 Queen Of The Ring Tournament where she en-route defeated Hannah Blossom in a singles contest early on in the tournament. The number one contender to the Pro-Wrestling:EVE Championship teams with her best friend “Portugal’s Perfect Athlete” Shanna who will just be one match in to her return from a serious injury courtesy of the reigning Pro-Wrestling:EVE Champion Jenny Sjodin suffered in their tremendous EVE Championship match at the beginning of February. The injury kept Shanna away from the historic No Man’s Land iPPV and subsequently out of Queen Of The Ring Tournament where as fate would have it Shanna was originally set to face Holly Blossom in a first round match-up. “Portugal’s Perfect Athlete” will be looking to make a statement upon her return – a statement that she wishes to end with gold around her waist! By having her best friend and former European Empire stable-mate in Nikki Storm in her corner, if form and momentum are anything to go by Shanna may have picked the ‘Perfect’ tag team partner and the duos incredible abilities may just see the pair en route to tag team gold while “The Dynamite Queen” maybe en route to becoming a double champion!

iPPV Re-Match as Pro-Wrestling:EVE Championship to be defended at Brit-Wres-Fest – in aid of Great Ormond Street Children’s Hospital

They were the two women who had Europe’s first ever iPPV named after them. They were the two women who fought harder than they had ever fought before all in the name of the Pro-Wrestling:EVE Championship. They were the two women who went crashing through the time-keepers table to the hard cement floor that lead to EVE head referee Chris Roberts bringing the contest to an end due to a double count out. Now the reining and defending Pro-Wrestling:EVE Champion “Female Fight Machine” Jenny Sjodin will once again defend her Championship against “The Professional Predator” that is Alpha Female!

The following write up is courtesy of www.WrestlingWithEthics.com, the same website where you can go to make your donation to the Great Ormond Street Children’s Hospital and register for the FREE tickets to the Brit-Wres-Fest event:

A huge running neck-breaker drop to the outside of the ring and through the time keepers table lead to a double count out in their recent headline contest at “No Man’s Land” on February 18th. As a result EVE joint producer Emily Read was quick to seize the opportunity to present the rematch on what could be the biggest British wrestling stage of them all, BritWres-Fest 2012.
“Everyone who has seen the first match between Alpha and Sjodin have given rave reviews and expressed what an amazing representation of the current female wrestling scene in Europe it really was” said Emily. “Fans demanded the rematch and we saw BritWres-Fest as the perfect platform to give it to the world to not only further the exposure of the amazing EVE Professionals and the Pro-Wrestling:EVE brand but most importantly to help a great cause and show support for Great Ormond Street Children’s Hospital”. Her husband and joint EVE producer Dann Read followed up “This is a cause that means a great deal to Emily and I who have two young children of our own and Great Ormond Street Hospital is something that we as parents ourselves truly appreciate in ways only a parent can truly understand. There’s going to be a lot of children with their parents at this event and everyone at EVE look forward to entertaining them all with the biggest re-match in EVE history”.

Event Organiser Jamie Hadley said “The decision to make the Pro-Wrestling:EVE Championship match the first one to be announced is our way of saying that BritWres-Fest 2012 is the ultimate showcase for the UK scene. The matches on offer will be the very best we can give the fans”. He continued “Pro-Wrestling:EVE made history with their recent iPPV, a first for British wrestling. Their prime role on this show is our way of applauding their progressive attitude towards our domestic industry and giving their all female roster equal billing to the men’s scene at the same time”.
