Queen Aminata Remains Injured, Pulled From ROH Women’s Pure Title Tournament

Queen Aminata is still not cleared to compete. First, Aminata was replaced by Mina Shirakawa for the first-ever Women’s Blood And Guts match last month. Now, her injury is still present and she won’t be able to compete in the semi-finals of the ROH Women’s Pure Title Tournament.

Aminata has revealed to have neck tightness which is keeping her from getting cleared. She did appear at Blood and Guts with a neckbrace on to chase Penelope Ford (who is also currently injured) to the back and away from ringside.

During the ROH Final Battle media call, Tony Khan said Aminata is still not cleared and she would be forfeiting her match against Purrazzo. Purrazzo will be earning a bye and will now be in the finals that take place tomorrow, Dec. 5, at Final Battle. She will face the winner between Yuka Sakazaki vs. Billie Starkz.

“Unfortunately, and it’s unexpected because we thought she would be cleared by now, Queen Aminata is still dealing with the aftereffects of that injury,” said Khan.

He continued, “Queen Aminata was not cleared and she will have to forfeit. We’ve given her as much time as I could to have her come back and wrestle. The plan was to tape the semifinals last night. The doctors would not clear her to do that match.” (Fightful/Transcription)
