Queen’s Crown Tournament Brackets set as two names advance to semi-finals

The first Queens Crown Tournament is here and we will be crowning a Queen in a few weeks. It will be a total of eight women, four from SmackDown and four from the RAW roster. The finals will take place at Crown Jewel on Oct. 21.

Both first-round matches took place tonight for SmackDown. Zelina Vega first faced Toni Storm while Liv Morgan took on Carmella.

On the RAW bracket side, Doudrop will be taking on Natalya and Shayna Baszler will be facing Dana Brooke.

Vega will be the first woman to advance to the semi-finals as she made short work of Storm. She picked up the win by pinfall after delivering Code Red. She will be facing the winner of Morgan/Carmella.

In the second hour of the show, Carmella took on Liv Morgan. Another short match [unfortunately], had Carmella pick up the win to advance to the semi-finals. Much like last week, the Most Beautiful Woman in all of WWE placed a mask on her face to avoid any damages. Morgan escaped the Code of Silence early on but it would be a superkick that kept her down as Carmella got the three-count.

Let’s hope the semi-final matches last a lot longer than the first-round ones.

To kick off the season premiere of SmackDown, a contract signing took place at the start of the show. The SmackDown Women’s Championship will be on the line at Crown Jewel in a Triple Threat between the champ Becky Lynch, Sasha Banks, and Bianca Belair. The three women were out at ringside, Belair stood in the ring, Lynch was on the ramp, and Banks was at on top of the announcer’s desk.

The contract would not get signed at that time as it didn’t take long for these three to lay hands on one another. Belair stood tall by the end after going for a double KOD. Banks escaped the hold but would not avoid going through the contract table set up in the middle of the ring. With Lynch still on the shoulders of Belair, this knocked Banks into the table. Belair delivered the KOD to Lynch on top of Banks through the table.
