With all the rumors from the past few days behind us, Asuka made an appearance on the May 11 Raw in a backstage segment.
With suitcase in hand, Asuka said “see you later” to IYO SKY. SKY defeated Asuka at Backlash in a student surpassing teacher moment.
Asuka: “I was looking for someone to take over my position. Finally you’ve become the person. I’m so glad it was you. I’m proud of you.”
IYO: “Even if we always fight, we will always be family. Goodbye Asuka-san.”
Asuka: “See you later.”
Michael Cole stated later on commentary that Asuka’s future is “up in the air.”
