Since the poorly booked Elimination Chamber pay-per-view is now in the past it is time to continue to move forward to WrestleMania. There is one last stop of Fastlane which will take place on March 21. Hopefully tonight’s RAW can start the build for that a lot better.
What did take place over the weekend was that Shayna Baszler and Nia Jax are still the Women’s Tag Team Champions. They defeated both Sasha Banks and Bianca Belair. Jax ended up pinning the SmackDown Women’s Champion.
Prior to that match being booked, Naomi and Lana were said to be number one contenders. Will they still get a title shot and will we find out more on that tonight? Baszler and Jax will be defending their titles against Dakota Kai and Raquel Gonzalez on March 3. Kai and Gonzalez earned this shot from winning the Dusty Classic.
Asuka wasn’t able to defend her RAW Women’s Championship at Elimination Chamber because Lacey Evans announced last week that she is pregnant. Other than her small feud with Alexa Bliss, the booking of Asuka has been lacking. With WrestleMania now less than two months away hopefully, a storyline with her can get back on track.
Evans announcing her pregnancy has also thrown a wrench in her current storyline with Ric Flair and Charlotte.
There is nothing officially advertised for tonight for the women or anyone else for that matter other than The Miz’s win of the WWE Championship.
