In a last second change of event’s the advertised match for tonight’s RAW will now be Kairi Sane vs. Shayna Baszler. Sane is replacing her tag team partner Asuka who is said to not be medically cleared to compete due to a sprained wrist.
Tonight we will find out if Asuka’s injury is in fact what WWE says it is or if this is just kayfabe in order to keep the two Elimination Chamber competitors apart.
Last week it was announced that Hall of Famer Beth Phoenix will be making an appearance on RAW this week. She is scheduled to report on the health condition of her husband, Edge, after his brutal attack from Randy Orton several weeks ago. There have been several speculations that Phoenix may get a Women’s Tag Team Title match at WrestleMania alongside Natalya. Could tonight be laying the groundwork for that match?
