Raw Discussion Post 06.20.22

As the days and weeks go by, we get closer and closer to WWE’s next premium live event, Money in the Bank.

Last week, we saw three women qualify as Alexa Bliss and Liv Morgan defeated Nikki A.S.H. and Doudrop in a tag team match on Raw while Raquel Rodriguez defeated Shayna Baszler on SmackDown. They join Lacey Evans who qualified first against Xia Li.

Elsewhere on the red brand, Becky Lynch continues her downward spiral as she attacks Dana Brooke mercilessly instead of having their rematch as scheduled. Asuka made the save leaving Lynch retreating up the ramp.

This week they face off one on one to see who will be the next woman to make it into the Money in the Bank Ladder Match. A total of seven women will qualify and this will determine number five. The sixth spot will be taken by either Shotzi or Aliyah after their qualifier match this Friday on SmackDown.

Later on in the night, The EST of WWE comes out for an interview promo with Kevin Patrick. He mentions how Rhea Ripley has changed and wants to know how she plans to defend against this new version of The Nightmare.

Belair states that she stays ready so she doesn’t have to get ready. She felt that she and Ripley used to have mutual respect for one another but her opponent only cares about intimidating people now and she isn’t one to be intimidated. Rhea Ripley appeared on screen with the rest of her Judgment Day comrades.

Ripley leaned her focus to Belair and lets her know that at Money In the Bank, the greatEST thing Belair will be is her downfall when Ripley eradicates her from this business. The Nightmare plans on walking the walk as a two-time Raw Women’s Champion come MITB.

According to Fightful, Carmella and Bliss will appear on tonight’s show but it has not been disclosed to what capacity. Carmella has not been on Raw since the May 16 episode of Raw where she and Dana Brooke met backstage.

As always, feel free to discuss tonight’s show in the comment section below.
