Tonight’s episode of WWE Raw will be the go-home episode before Night of Champions this Saturday.
The Queen of the Ring finals will take place at Night of Champions, and we will get to find out who faces Asuka at that event tonight. In the last semi-finals match, Jade Cargill will be taking on Roxanne Perez. Many people were thinking we would be getting Cargill vs. Charlotte Flair in the finals, but Flair was eliminated in the first round won by Alexa Bliss. Asuka defeated Bliss this past Friday on SmackDown.
The Women’s Intercontinental Championship will be defended tonight as the champion Becky Lynch will be defending against Bayley. Lynch took out Bayley ahead of WrestleMania and Bayley returned just a couple of weeks ago to attack the newly crowned champion.
Bayley has wanted a match with Lynch since returning, however, Lynch didn’t want the title on the line. Nick Aldis stepped in to say the belt will be defended.
Bayley and Lynch have not had a singles match on TV together since a steel cage match in February 2023. Lynch won that bout. The two have never had a match on TV for a championship on the main roster. The last televised match they had for a title was in NXT back in 2015.
Although nothing mentioned by WWE officially, they will likely address Liv Morgan’s injury. Hopefully we’ll get some words on the plans for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles now that Raquel Rodriguez is standing alone.
