Raw Serves Up Two Upsets; Liv Morgan Crazed Over Vaquer Ahead Of Mania

The final Raw before WrestleMania and Liv Morgan continues to be the thorn in the side of the Women’s World Champion, Stephanie Vaquer. After weeks of surprise attacks between both women, the trend doesn’t stop just days before they tear each other apart.

Vaquer was in the ring being interviewed by Cathy Kelley when Morgan launched an attack. An attack that also took down Kelley who had to be helped to the back.

Morgan and Vaquer continued to throw fists against one another on the ring mat until officials came out to pull them apart. They were able to get Vaquer out of the ring, but Morgan took to the mic to egg on the champion even more telling Vaquer if she wants to fight here, she is right here, let’s go! She adds that she knew that Vaquer’s mother was trash, but she didn’t know that she raised a little bitch!

Vaquer took to the mic to respond in Spanish saying that she wasn’t going to wait until WrestleMania and jumped back into the ring. The two continue to brawl ending with Morgan being shoved into the ring ropes and launched out of the ring. As Morgan was being held back she was screaming that Vaquer was done for.

There were two women’s matches of the night, and both with surprising wins. One would call them both upsets.

First, Lyra Valkyria took on Charlotte Flair. Valkyria and Flair represent two of the four teams that will battle it out for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships this Saturday. This was the first time these two women went one-on-one in their careers.

After a very fun encounter between the two, and hoping for more down the line, the two women find themselves close to the ropes. Flair executes an O’Connor Roll pinning Valkyria to the count of two before Bayley sweeps the feet out from Flair. This turns the pin around to a bridge for Valkyria who gets the three count and the victory against the 14 time world champion.

Post match, Alexa Bliss joins the fight as the two teams shove each other before the referee gains control to break them up.

A backstage moment between IYO SKY, Asuka, and Kairi Sane leads to a match between SKY and Sane. Later in the night, the match takes place as Asuka is at ringside to make sure that Sane picked up the win, and she did just that. As Asuka was being mischievous, Rhea Ripley emerged to help out her friend SKY. As Ripley was setting up a Riptide to Asuka, she was attacked from behind by the WWE Women’s Champion and her WrestleMania opponent, Jade Cargill.

This allowed Asuka to continue the interference as she knocked SKY off of the top turnbuckle allowing Sane to grab the pin and the victory. This would be considered a second upset of the night.

Another vignette aired for AJ Lee and Becky Lynch to hype up their WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship match for Saturday.
