Renee Paquette Joins AEW, Women’s Title Match Set For Oct. 18 Dynamite

Renee Paquette is officially All Elite.

AEW Dynamite‘s debut in Toronto kicked off with the arrival of Renee Paquette after Tony Khan tweeted ahead of the show that she has signed a deal. After welcoming the crowd to the show, Paquette interviewed Toronto’s own Christian Cage.

Later on in the show near the 9:30 p.m. ET slot, Toni Storm and Hikaru Shida teamed up to take on Britt Baker and Jamie Hayter. Shida and Baker ended up working a majority of the match before Shida scored the pinfall victory over her former rival. As a result of the win, Shida will now challenge Storm for the interim AEW Women’s title on the special Tuesday edition of Dynamite on October 18.

Nyla Rose, who is currently in possession of Jade Cargill’s TBS Championship, will go one-on-one with Anna Jay this Friday on Rampage.
