The WWE Women’s United States Champion Chelsea Green is currently not involved with this weekend’s WrestleMania card. Fellow mid-card champion, Lyra Valkyria (WWE Women’s Intercontinental Champion) is in action but with Bayley going after the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles currently held by Liv Morgan & Raquel Rodriguez.
In a report by Fightful Select, although Green is not scheduled for a match, pitches were made.
Sources have told Fightful that certain pitches such as the idea of Green hosting the show, as well as her feud with Zelina leading to a match. There were also takes about Green holding an open challenge for her title. Among the names thrown out were Alexa Bliss and Nikki Bella.
Fightful has not heard of any plans adjusting so far for Green, but they were told that there is a possibility things could get added to WrestleMania as the format is finalized and things adjust.
In a recent signing, Nikki Bella discusses wanting to face Green and is waiting for her to have an open challenge. “Chelsea Green,” Nikki said on a Fanatics Live Signing when asked who she wanted to face. “I’m waiting for her to have an open challenge. I might just show up. I keep all my stuff on me, just in case.” Nikki has been said to be returning to WWE in a possible part time contract following her return at the Royal Rumble earlier this year.
