Report: Destination America Canceling Impact Wrestling?

According to a report from the Wrestling Observer (via Gerweck.net) Destination America has decided to drop all TNA programming. This decision was made after Impact announced they would be moving to Wednesday nights.

TNA programming is scheduled to end on Destination America at the end of the third quarter of this year, which would be the end of September. Discover, Destination America’s parent company, has also been made aware of the decision. Destination America is expected to reveal the major announcement when they reveal their 2015-2016 program lineup.

While this appears to be the plan, no deal has been finalized yet. TNA President Dixie Carter was reportedly made aware of the decision early last week but most of TNA’s talent was unaware.

According to the report, the ultimate decision to cancel Impact was decided after poor ratings on the March 13th edition of the program. Despite much publicity for their recent live special, ratings were again said to be low.

This news has yet to be confirmed outside of Wrestling Observer.
