Retrospective: First WrestleMania Match to Now

Liv Morgan – Fifth WrestleMania

Liv Morgan had her first WrestleMania appearance in 2018 at WrestleMania 34. She participated in both the first and second Women’s Battle Royals in back-to-back years. Despite her booking not always being up to par, she has participated in each WrestleMania since she has been on the main roster.

She holds a win at the big event over Natalya during the Kick off to WrestleMania 36. After being unable to win tag team gold last year alongside Ruby Riott she is hopeful to walk out this year with tag team gold as she is paired with Rhea Ripley. The two have certainly been a make-shift team but one that gels very well in the ring together.

Naomi – Eighth WrestleMania

As one of the longest-tenured women on the main roster, it comes as no surprise that Naomi is heading into her eighth WrestleMania event. Her first one comes at WrestleMania XXX in 2014 when she took part in the Vickie Guerrero Invitational Match. AJ Lee was the Divas Champion and Vickie made her defend her title against the entire roster.

Since then, Naomi has picked up some big wins at Maina including winning the SmackDown Women’s Title in her hometown. She also became the first woman to win the Women’s Battle Royal.

Now, Naomi is hoping to win her first piece of gold in years as she will be in the Fatal 4-way for the tag team titles alongside Sasha Banks.

Natalya – Ninth WrestleMania

Much like Naomi, Natalya having this many WrestleMania appearances should not be shocking as she heads into her ninth event. She first signed her contract with the company in 2007 and debuted on SmackDown in 2008. Her first apperance at the Show of Shows is at WrestleMania 25 where she competed in the Miss WrestleMania Battle Royal. She would not have another match at the show until WrestleMania 30 where she was involved in the invitational mentioned above for Naomi.

Despite holding the Guinness Book of World record for most wins by a female in WWE, she only holds two wins at the big event. She won as part of Team Total Divas at WrestleMania 32 and on Night One of WrestleMania 37 alongside Tamina.

She is part of the fourth team that has not been discussed for this year’s Fatal 4-way for the tag team titles. Partnered with Shayna Baszler, Nattie is hoping to become a two-time tag champ.

Queen Zelina -Second WrestleMania

Mostly due to the fact that Zelina Vega was a manager for the first half of her WWE career puts her going into her only second WrestleMania. Her first was part of the Women’s Battle Royal at Mania 35.

Despite having the least amount of experience heading into this year’s event, she is going in a champion. She is one-half of the tag team champions with Carmella. Other than trying to fool everyone that they weren’t on the same page, the pair have had a lot of losses in this build for the Fatal 4-way. Zelina taking the brunt of the pinfalls.

Can Zelina have a successful second WrestleMania and walk out still as a champion?
