The enemy of my enemy is my friend, and although there’s a lot of mutual respect between the two, Rhea Ripley isn’t chasing after IYO SKY’s Women’s World Title.
On the May 12 episode of Raw, the women main evented. It was Ripley & SKY vs. NXT’s Roxanne Perez & Giulia. This was Giulia’s first match ever on Raw. The final moments of the match had Perez take out Giulia by accident instead of SKY. Ripley pushed Giulia into Perez’s path. Ripley followed up with a headbutt to Giulia and a Riptide for the win.
Post match, the hands of SKY and Ripley were raised, but Ripley continued to stare at the championship belt.
Becky Lynch cut an in ring promo following her loss to Lyra Valkyria at Backlash. Lynch said she had taken a year away from the ring because of the fans, because she felt that the fans wanted her away. She says before she main evented WrestleMania several years ago the fans were behind her and everyone was in it together. Until she won. Lynch adds that whatever people say she is, she is. Selfish? Yes. Greedy? Yes.
In a post match backstage moment, Perez tries to convince Giulia that they need to regroup. Giulia isn’t having it and says there is no “we.”
