Rhea Ripley Qualifies For Elimination Chamber; Stephanie Vaquer Wants Liv Morgan

Rhea Ripley has become the second woman to qualify for the upcoming Elimination Chamber match. She joins Tiffany Stratton who qualified last week on SmackDown.

Ripley secured her spot in a Triple Threat encounter on Monday’s Raw. She faced Ivy Nile and Lyra Valkyria. All three women put in the work during the match as Nile dominated certain parts, much to the compliments from commentary.

In the closing moments, Ripley attempted to hit Riptide on Nile, but the move was countered, leaving Ripley caught in a backstabber. Nile couldn’t fully capitalize and instead turned her attention to Valkyria, connecting with a sunset flip in the corner. Valkyria fought back and delivered Nightwing, but before the referee could count three, Ripley stormed in and broke up the pin with a running knee to the Bird Lady’s face.

Ripley put Valkyria away with the Riptide to get the pin. Who will join Ripley and Stratton on Feb. 28 inside the steel structure?

Upcoming qualifier matches include –

  • Feb. 13 SmackDown – Alexa Bliss vs. Giulia vs. Zelina
  • Feb. 16 Raw – Bayley vs. Asuka vs. Nattie

Speaking of Nattie, her new persona is in full effect as she took on Maxxine Dupri this week. Dupri caught Nattie off guard the moment the bell rang and locked her in an ankle lock. The student surprised the teacher, but the end result of the match would be a double count out.

As the action spilled to the outside, Nattie locked in the Sharpshooter on top of the announce desk before AJ Lee’s music hit. Lee rushed to the aid of Maxxine as Nattie fled. Becky Lynch appeared with a sneak attack on Lee to end the segment. Lee and Lynch had a segment to kick off Raw in which Lee got herself a Women’s IC Title match at Elimination Chamber. More on that here.

Lastly, we had an encounter between Liv Morgan and the Women’s World Champion, Stephanie Vaquer. Their encounter can be summed up by Vauqer wanting Morgan to pick her to go against at WrestleMania. Morgan says she isn’t going to have Stephanie or Jade Cargill try to sway her decision or rush her into making one. The Royal Rumble winner continues to keep her decision to herself.

The segment ended with Morgan calling Vaquer a puta which resulted in the champion slapping Dominik Mysterio.
