Road Dogg Says “I Don’t Know” While Booking The SmackDown Women’s Division

Ever wonder why the SmackDown women’s division in 2025 was needing water in a vast desert of nothingness? Cue Road Dogg.

Road Dogg was the co-lead writer of SmackDown throughout 2025. What we received from that, mostly for the women’s division, was lack of direction, same opponents over and over again, and champions who didn’t even have matches or appear on TV.

In a clip from the newly released second season of WWE Unreal, Triple H was seen talking to Road Dogg among other executives about creative and the writing. Road Dogg mentioned having Giulia drop the WWE Women’s U.S. Title back to Chelsea Green (which did occur). Triple H questioned him, what would come next? It has been the same opponents that Green faced her first run as champion. Michin, B-Fab, and Zelina Vega were among those names.

When questioned about utilizing talent against Green such as Alexa Bliss, Jade Cargill, or Tiffany Stratton, Road Dogg’s response was: “I understand. I just don’t know.”

“If you flip it back to Chelsea, who is she working with?” -Triple H to Road Dogg

“The same girls. I understand. I don’t know.” -Road Dogg to Triple H

As of the start of this year, Ryan Ward now oversees both Raw and SmackDown. Ward is the Vice President of Creative Writing. Since Ward has been overseeing SmackDown, Jordynne Grace has been called up, Giulia has regained the Women’s U.S. Title, and has defended it against a different opponent, Alexa Bliss.
