Rodriguez And Aliyah Advance To WWE Women’s Tag Tournament Finals

The final match of the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship tournament is set.

Sonya Deville and Natalya were successful in the “last chance” fatal four-way match on SmackDown to advance to the tournament semi-finals. They outlasted Nikki A.S.H. and Doudrop, Tamina and Dana Brooke, and Shotzi and Xia Li with Deville pinning Nikki for the rather quick victory.

Later on, Deville and Natalya were tasked with taking on Raquel Rodriguez and Aliyah. The match lasted longer, but this time, Deville and Natalya weren’t as lucky. Rodriguez would score the win for her team by pinning Deville following the Texana Bomb.

Rodriguez and Aliyah will now face Dakota Kai and IYO SKY this Monday on Raw to crown the brand new WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions. Kai and SKY were at SmackDown and stared down their opponents in the ring after Aliyah and Rodriguez solidified their spot in the finals. Bayley was on commentary during the match.

SmackDown Women’s Champion Liv Morgan was absent this week, however, a video package for Shayna Baszler did air as the two will meet at Clash at the Castle next Saturday in a first-time championship match. Meanwhile, Ronda Rousey will make an appearance next Friday as the fate of her WWE career is decided.

B-Fab would appear with the rest of Hit Row while Maxxine Dupri was with the Maximum Male Models. Dupri and the rest of her faction thought Hit Row was distracting their photo shoot in a nearby tour bus. They would enlist the help of Los Lotharios to write Hit Row on the side of the bus but it turned out to be the Street Profits bus instead.
