Hello everyone, welcome to the honor club! This week we had a tag team match with Thunder Rosa and Persephone teaming up versus Leila Grey and Dulce Tormenta. Plus the return to the ring of the Forever ROH Champion, Athena.
To kick off the show, Miss Leila Grey made her entrance in her signature lavender attire, alongside her tag partner, Dulce Tormenta. Thunder Rosa made her way down to the ring with CMLL’s breakout star, Persephone.
Perse and Dulce Tormenta tried to showcase themselves in front of their hometown, but Rosa and Perse were the ones that ended up winning the match via submission. Post-match, Thunder raised the hand of both Dulce Tormenta and Leila Grey.
In a backstage segment, Persephone invited Thunder to her house (CMLL) for a tag match; Thunder accepted. The match is yet to be announced, but Thunder will face La Jarochita in one of the AEW/CMLL crossover shows in the following weeks, so stay tuned.
Then, as it was announced last week, the longest-reigning ROH women’s champion, Athena, returned to ROH in another proving ground match, this time versus Rachel Armstrong.
Regardless if the proving ground matches lead to nowhere, at least they make sure they have a great showing for the champion and the challenger. either because you root for them or want to see more of them. This time Athena put all her anger on Armstrong and finished things up with a straitjacket powerbomb.
Post-match, The Fallen Goddess attacked Rachel until Thunder Rosa made the save, hinting at a possible title match against Athena in the near future.
