Rosemary Overcomes Tenille And Comes Face-to-Face With An Old Friend

Rosemary took on Tenille Dashwood in the opening bout of the June 9 episode of IMPACT!

Without Havok by ringside, Rosemary had to go after Dashwood alone with Madison Rayne in her corner. As the tag team champs, The Influence has been throwing off Decay’s advancing for a tag title match. Originally they told Havok she would have to win a match in order even be considered for a title shot. Taking those words to heart, Havok sought out a victory from one of the newest Knockouts, Masha Slamovich. Shockingly, Havok went down in mere moments when Slamovich defeated her a couple of weeks ago in quick fashion.

Rosemary would get some vindication for Havok by picking up a win. After getting a near fall off a German Suplex, Rosemary sends Dashwood into Rayne who was on the ring apron. Catching her off guard, she rolls up one-half of the tag champs to get the pin.

Immediately after the bell rings, The Influence start their assault on Rosemary. Only it wouldn’t be Havok that comes to her rescue, it was the AAA Reina de Reinas Champion, Taya Valkyrie.

Valkyrie rushed to the ring and the two former tag team partners and best friends cleared the ring. After bumping into each other, the two exchanged glances as Valkyrie started to repeatedly say she was sorry for their rocky past. Rosemary left the ring without any embrace.

This was the only match for the Knockouts this week but there was a continuing build for the Queen of the Mountain match which is set for Slammiversary on June 19.

Deonna Purrazzo was backstage when the Knockouts World Champion Tasha Steelz and Savannah Evans approached her. Steelz wasn’t happy that Purrazzo didn’t help Evans last week against Mia Yim. She thought they were all on the same page to take out Yim before she could do any further damage to the division. Purrazzo says she agreed that they have a mutual enemy but she never agreed to help.

After Steelz & Evans walked off, Chelsea Green would join Purrazzo. Green suggested that maybe Purrazzo may need some help herself.

Set for next week’s go-home edition of IMPACT before Slammiversary, a tag team bout is scheduled as Mia Yim & Jordynne Grace team up to go against Tasha Steelz & Savannah Evans. The Queen of the Mountain match which takes place at Slammiversary on June 19 will have Steelz defending her title against all former Knockouts Champions. Included are Deonna Purrazzo, Chelsea Green, Jordynne Grace, and Mia Yim. It appears Steelz may have the odds stacked against her heading into the bout.
