Ruby Soho advances to the finals of the TBS Women’s Title Tournament

Ruby Soho is just one match away from becoming the inaugural TBS Women’s Champion.

On this week’s Dynamite, Soho defeated Nyla Rose to advance to the finals which will take place on Jan. 5 which is Dynamite’s move to the TBS Network. Her competitor will be determined next week in the last semi-final match between Jade Cargill and Thunder Rosa.

Walking in with an advantage as being a prior AEW Women’s World Champion, Nyla Rose had a bit of a chip on her shoulder. The final moments of the match saw Soho locked Rose in a submission and was possibly moments away from a victory. Instead of tapping, Rose signaled for Vickie Guerrero. Guerrero hopped up on the apron which caused Soho to break the hold. Soho delivered a kick to Guerrero which knocked her off the apron.

Rose tried to capitalize now free from the submission and delivered a Beast Bomb but Soho kicked out at two. The Native Beast dragged her opponent to the corner but Soho was able to execute No Future and pinned Rose for the win.

AEW Women’s World Champion Dr. Britt Baker had her Holiday Party with Rebel, Jamie Hayter, and was interviewed by Tony Schiavone. Baker will be facing Riho with the title on the line at Battle of the Belts on Jan. 8. Schiavone reminds Baker that she hasn’t won against Riho and also her backup plan of Hayter has lost to Riho as well. Baker shares her feelings on Riho below.

Hikaru Shida and Serena Deeb have had three fantastic matches over the past number of months. Deeb won the first bout between the two while Shida won the second followed by the third breaking the tie between them.

A promo aired by Deeb who declared that she is not finished with Shida just yet and she won’t be until her work is done. Deeb states that Shida has never had a decisive win and she continues to cheat in order to win. She ends the promo by saying the next time they are in the ring together, Shida will be begging Tony Khan to keep Deeb away from her for good.

A video aired about Owen Hart as the Owen Hart Cup Tournament will be coming up in the first part of 2022. The finals will take place in May at Double or Nothing. There will be both a women’s and men’s tournament. At this time, no participants have been confirmed.
