Britt Baker stirred the pot in the first women’s segment on AEW Dynamite. During a backstage promo, the former AEW Women’s World Champion claimed that doctors won’t clear Saraya to compete in the All Elite ring. Commentators immediately questioned who these doctors are as we shifted to the trios match.
At the top of the second hour, eight women in total entered the arena as Willow Nightingale, Toni Storm, and Athena (alongside Saraya) defeated Penelope Ford, Jamie Hayter, and Serena Deeb (joined by Britt Baker). The finish saw Willow pin Ford.
Post-match, Saraya came face-to-face with Britt Baker. Saraya threw the first punch before everyone broke out in a brawl with Saraya and Baker throwing hands back and forth. When Rebel was the only woman left in the ring, Saraya kicked her in the face. All signs point to Saraya vs. Britt Baker in the near future, although her in-ring status is not officially confirmed.
Later in backstage segment, Madison Rayne hyped up Skye Blue until Tay Melo and Anna Jay interrupted. Naturally, a tag team match was booked for this Friday’s live edition of Rampage.
Battle of the Belts IV will air immediately after Rampage, and will now feature a TBS Championship match. Celebrating her victory, Willow Nightingale made it clear she wants to step up to Jade Cargill again. The Baddies interrupted, yet Willow challenged Cargill to beat her a third time because Willow believes she can be the one to end the streak.
