In the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, it is being reported that Sasha Banks has recently had a meeting with Vince McMahon. The meeting took place on May 23. Banks and McMahon are rumored to be on better terms at this time as the meeting went well. Nothing has been confirmed at this time about a return date, however, it is being said it will be later this summer.
Banks hasn’t been in action since WrestleMania where both her and Bayley lost the tag team titles to The IIconics. It was previously reported that Banks was feeling frustrated with the company. Losing the tag titles may have been the final straw in regards to her frustrations in regards to her creative direction.
Previously Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer mentioned that she may sit out the remainder of her contract. The two parties were considered at a stalemate prior to this latest meeting.
Neither Banks nor WWE has commented on any details about her hiatus. Since the aforementioned meeting, Sasha Banks has posted the following on her Instagram account.
