NWA is hosting its next pay-per-view event this weekend which is titled When Our Shadows Fall. At this event, the NWA World Women’s Championship will be on the line as Serena Deeb defends against the number one contender Kamille.
Deeb has recently returned to the ring after taking time off from an injury. Since her return, she has defended her title against Red Velvet on AEW’s Dynamite and against Riho at AEW’s Double or Nothing this past weekend. This will be the first match between Deeb and Kamille.
In Deeb’s absence since NWA has returned from its pandemic hiatus, Kamille has been center focus in the companies programming. She earned her number one contender spot after defeating Thunder Rosa at Back for the Attack in March. Since then the two have continued their rivalry up until a recent match between the two that ended in a time limit draw.
Also on the card will be an exciting tag team match. Thunder Rosa will be teaming up with Melina to face Kylie Rae and Taryn Terrell.
This will be Melina’s first match since she faced Thunder Rosa in January, 2020. As for Terrell, she retired in 2017 with her last match being at Victory Road in a six-Knockouts tag team match where she was paired with Sienna and Taya Valkyrie. They won that match against Gail Kim, Allie, and Rosemary.
Another name in this upcoming tag team match is Kylie Rae. Rae has not wrestled since she was planned to take on Deonna Purrazzo for IMPACT’s Bound for Glory in October. Rae did not attend that event due to personal reasons and subsequently announced her retirement from wrestling shortly thereafter. It is said that she is still under contract with IMPACT at this time.
She is currently set to make her return to wrestling on June 5 at a Warrior Wrestling event where she will be defending her title against Holidead.
NWA’s When Our Shadows Fall will be available to purchase on Fite for this Sunday’s event on June 6. Warrior Wrestling’s Stadium Series event can also be watched from Fite.
