Shayna Baszler and Asuka slated to battle it out on RAW

The Elimination Chamber event is one week away and the challenger for Becky Lynch‘s RAW Women’s Title at WrestleMania will be decided in the unforgiving structure. Two of its biggest competitors are not planning to wait until next week and will battle it out on RAW tomorrow.

WWE has confirmed a prior report by the New York Post that Shayna Baszler will take on Asuka. Last week during the chamber contract signing, Baszler and Asuka briefly stood eye to eye. Natalya would get involved which caused Baszler to become a spectator to the chaos that erupted.

This match has huge implications. First, it sets the tone going into the Elimination Chamber on Sunday. Second, both women were highly successful during their time in NXT. Finally seeing them going one-on-one could be credited as a dream match.

Over the past few years talking about NXT couldn’t happen without both the name of Asuka and Baszler being mentioned. Both women have made and broken records. Asuka is the longest reigning champion while Baszler being the longest combined reign. The Queen of Spades is also the only two-time champion.
