NXT 2.0 and NXT UK had their final build heading towards Worlds Collide which will take place this Sunday, Sept. 4. This event will signify the last event for NXT UK as the brand is going on hiatus as it prepares to be relaunched as NXT Europe in 2023.
With this hiatus, the NXT UK Women’s Championship will be unified with the NXT Women’s Championship in a Triple Threat. Mandy Rose has held the NXT Women’s Title for 308-days and counting while Meiko Satomura sits firmly as the NXT UK Women’s Champion for 440-days at the time of this writing. Blair Davenport will round out the match as the third competitor due to winning a Fatal 4-way making her a number one contender.
With stakes high and tensions flaring, former champions would approach the three competitors throughout this week’s go-home episode.
First, SmackDown’s Shayna Baszler would approach Mandy Rose. Baszler currently holds the longest combined days as NXT Women’s Champion. Rose is sitting at the fourth spot of longest days as champion and only has three women above her – Baszler, Asuka, and Charlotte Flair.
Baszler tells Rose that she better win on Sunday to unify the titles or else everything she has been saying for the past year is garbage.
Later in the night, Alba Fyre would approach Meiko Satomura. Fyre, known then as Kay Lee Ray, is the longest-reigning NXT UK Women’s Champion and the woman that Satomura took the title from. After Fyre tells Satomura the gold looks good on her, the champ says she won the title from a great champion. Fyre tells her to win on Sunday with Satomura saying she will.
After the mutual respect was shown between Satomura and Fyre it would be Blair Davenport’s turn to receive her words of wisdom. Current Raw talent and former NXT Women’s and the inaugural NXT UK Women’s Champion Rhea Ripley would interrupt Davenport being interviewed about the upcoming match.
Ripley says that she is a history maker and grabbed both brands by the balls. She tells Davenport she has the chance to unify the titles and to not screw it up.
Outside of these three segments, three matches took place featuring the women.

Kayden Carter & Katana Chance defeated Ivy Nile & Tatum Paxley
Lash Legend & Pretty Deadly defeated Fallon Henley, Brooks, and Jensen
Zoey Stark defeated Kiana James
Raw’s Nikki A.S.H. and Doudrop appeared to challenge Carter & Chance for the NXT Women’s Tag Team Championship at Worlds Collide. You can read more on that by clicking here.
After Stark defeated James, Nikkita Lyons appeared to save Stark from a post-match attack.
There was also a promo aired for Roxanne Perez. She was seen remembering her friendship ending with Cora Jade and signifies that their relationship may be over but she is not done with her.
