Hello all, and welcome to this week’s edition of the SmackDown Redux! No match this week, but we did get some development in the Layla/Summer Rae/Fandango love triangle. First Layla catches Summer and Fandango swapping spit backstage:
Which leads to a catfight during Fandango’s match against Bo Dallas:
Thoughts: I’m honestly not sure what the endgame to this feud is. For the past few weeks we’ve gotten catfight after catfight from these two, and nothing more.
I’m guessing we’ll see a match between these two soon with Fandango on the line. I’d honestly rather see Layla win and continue as his valet, as it gives her something to do in the overcrowded division.
Perhaps Summer can use this as an opportunity to move up the the ranks, maybe even teaming up with Sasha Banks and/or Charlotte to bring the BFF gimmick to the main roster. In any case, this rivalry has run its course, and both Divas need to move on.
