A new report has emerged from WRKD Wrestling is stating that the WWE SmackDown brand will be getting some new members. In the report they state to expect to see some call ups to SmackDown from NXT to fill some of the gaps left by recent injuries and to help freshen up the product.
Although it does not indicate if the women’s roster that will receive the boost, it certainly would help. With Bianca Belair being out since WrestleMania and other stars moving to Raw, SmackDown had been circling with the same talents and storylines for months now. Jade Cargill and Nia Jax for example have been the only talents being pushed to challenge the WWE Women’s Champion Tiffany Stratton since Stratton defeated Trish Stratus at Evolution.
Cory Hays of BodySlamNet has confirmed call ups have been in the plans for a few weeks now.
