Sol Ruca made a splash on the Raw after WrestleMania. Seemingly now called up to the Raw roster, Ruca came out and interrupted Liv Morgan’s championship celebration. Morgan won the Women’s World Title over the weekend at WrestleMania 42 against Stephanie Vaquer.
As Morgan was in the ring celebrating with her family of the Judgment Day, Ruca made her way out. Ruca made sure Morgan knew she didn’t come for a fight and was just here to congratulate her, but she also doesn’t back down from one. Although these two women’ haven’t had a one-on-one match before, they were part of the final three in the Royal Rumble this year, which Morgan won.
Adam Pearce emerged to make a match official. Ruca was met warmly by the crowd, who not only knew who she was, but gave her many chants to back her. Highlights of the match proved Ruca’s athleticism will be undeniable on Raw, just as it was in NXT. She even countered out of ObLIVion in a unique way.
The final moments of the match had Ruca hit the Sol Snatcher but Morgan rolled out of the ring. Ruca took out Roxanne Perez and Raquel Rodriguez on the outside before Zaria emerged and drove Ruca into the ring post before delivering a slam to the floor as the referee was checking on Morgan.
Ruca made it back in the ring at the count of nine before Morgan was able to land ObLIVion to get the win.
After the match, the Judgment Day made their way up the ramp as Vaquer’s theme hits. Vaquer makes her way out on stage and her and Morgan come face-to-face and share some words. It doesn’t seem to be over between these two.
Elsewhere on Raw, RHIYO teamed up a final time to face the Kabuki Warriors. RHIYO won the match as the new WWE Women’s Champion, Rhea Ripley delivered a Riptide to Kairi Sane followed by an Over the Moonsault by IYO SKY to get the win. The commentary was about the same as it has been for this. Sane being treated badly by Asuka whil SKY was trying to help.
Later in the night, Ripley and SKY said their goodbyes as Ripley heads off to SmackDown. Morgan was sitting on a road case and said to Ripley, “see you around I guess” to which Ripley said she was looking forward to it.
Maxxine Dupri was spotted once again in the background chatting with Austin Theory. This isn’t the first time she has been spotted with Theory.
New WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions, Paige and Brie Bella (along with Nikki Bella) were in the front row of the show. They likely will be on SmackDown as the newly crowned U.S. Champion Trick Williams was in the front row as well.
Next week, Becky Lynch returns as the new WWE Women’s IC Champion.
