Sonya Deville and Anthony Bowens meet on the purple carpet of GLAAD/NFL event

WWE’s Sonya Deville and AEW’s Anthony Bowens meet during an event brought together by GLAAD and the NFL titled “A Night of Pride.” This event took place just days before NFL’s Super Bowl which is this Sunday.

Both representing the LGBTQ+ community, Deville and Bowens took time for photos and some interviews with Bowens being accompanied by his boyfriend. Deville was playing off the attack from Ronda Rousey on last week’s SmackDown as she came to the event with her arm in a sling.

Deville had the following to say about the experience –

“If I could just rewind to seven years ago when I first got signed with WWE. I unintentionally came out on national television through the reality show [Tough Enough] that I got cast on WWE with. Knowing I was the first was kind of crazy, and now there’s other members of the LGBTQ universe that are part of the WWE family. And just to be able to see our inclusion with GLAAD, doing New York World Pride a few years ago, and being on the GLAAD float. Just being part of these events representing WWE is super cool.”

Sonya states she would like the LA Rams to win the Super Bowl.

Bowens photo that he post of him and Deville has the caption that reads “Who knew the forbidden door led to the GLAAD red carpet…we look *fire emoji* *rainbow emoji*.”

He states in his other post about the event –

“Thank you to @GLAAD and the @NFL for having @michaelpavano and I at this amazing event last night celebrating LGBTQ inclusion in pro sports. I keep saying it, visibility is key. Shout out to @AEW for supporting it’s LGBTQ performers and letting everyone be themselves”
