Sonya Deville Sustains ACL Injury, Requires Surgery

Sonya Deville, one-half of the WWE Women’s Champions, has sustained an injury. According to a report by TMZ it is an injury to her ACL which will require surgery. She currently holds the tag team titles with Chelsea Green.

The report states that she tore her ACL during the tag team match against Bianca Belair and Charlotte Flair on the July 28 edition of SmackDown. TMZ states the future of the tag titles will be discussed on tonight’s Raw.

This was Deville’s first gold in her tenure with WWE. She and Green had just recently defeated Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez for the gold on an episode of Raw.
