NXT Women’s Champion Stephanie Vaquer and Women’s World Champion IYO SKY wanted to take on the best of the best – each other!
SKY took to the ring on the Raw after WrestleMania to address the crowd after her big win on Sunday, where she retained the Women’s World Championship against Rhea Ripley and Bianca Belair. She says she beat two of the best women, and as a result, that makes her the best. The crowd gave SKY her flowers with a “you deserve it” chant. Stephanie Vaquer’s music hit, which resulted in a big reaction from the Las Vegas crowd.
A great match between two champions came to a an end without a decisive finish thanks to NXT’s Roxanne Perez, who attacked SKY. Vaquer was not happy with that as Giulia appeared as well. Perez and Giulia attacked both Vaquer and SKY until Rhea Ripley’s music hit. Ripley comes racing out to the ring to chase both Perez and Giulia off as she stares down Giulia in particular.
The segment ends with Ripley picking up the Women’s World Title belt and handing it back to SKY, alluding that she is still wanting the gold back.
Perez will be taking on Vaquer for the NXT Women’s Championship on this week’s show on April 22.
