Stephanie Vaquer Leads Star Studded Team To Victory Ahead Of SummerSlam

Stephanie Vaquer may not be on the SummerSlam card, however, she is looking forward to Clash in Paris. There, she will be getting a Women’s World Title opportunity. If things stay the same way they are now, then Naomi will be her opponent.

In a massive eight woman tag team match from this week’s Raw, Vaquer led her team to victory by pinning Chelsea Green in the end. The team were, Vaquer, IYO SKY, Rhea Ripley and Nikki Bella against Naomi, Green, Piper Niven, and Alba Fyre. The production value was high in this match and all eight women delivered. It had everything you could want in a match. High action, nostalgia, comedy, just overall fun.

The final moments had SKY take out Naomi with a missile drop kick. Her and Nikki celebrated with SKY’s signature crowd pleaser. Niven enters and takes both women down, and then proceeds to mock them before Ripley appears. A stare down erupts the crowd as Ripley delivers a Riptide to Niven. Green is next as she slaps Ripley before Vaquer hits the SVB for the win.

The moments between Nikki and Naomi took every Total Divas and just Diva Era fan back. Dare I say, I want that title match between them by end of the year?

Elsewhere on Raw, a mixed tag team match took place. The champions of the Judgment Day (Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez) teamed up with Dominik Mysterio and took on the Kabuki Warriors and AJ Styles. Another fun match, but it came down to the men where Styles pinned Mysterio. The Kabuki Warriors have a win over the tag champs but will the champs still be the titleholders after this weekend? They defend against Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss.

Ahead of their match at SummerSlam, Lyra Valkyria and Becky Lynch had one more interaction. Valkyria came out to talk to the crowd and presented her shoes as the “Becky stompers.” The stipulation for the match this weekend is that if Valkyria loses, she can’t go after the Women’s IC Title again as long as Lynch is the champion. It is also a No DQ match.

Lynch’s music hit and she tried to sneak attack Valkyria with a kendo stick. Valkyria was too keen to this and was able to steal the weapon away from her adversary. She used it against Lynch sending the champion escaping up the ramp.

What did you think of the go-home episode of Raw ahead of SummerSlam?
