We have a double champion for NJPW as both women’s titles under the organization now belong to Syuri.
On Jan. 4, a title vs. title match took place. The winner between Syuri and Saya Kamitani would walk out as both the IWGP Women’s Champion and the STRONG Women’s Champion. This took place at the NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 20 ever at the Tokyo Dome.
To close out the match, Syuri hit Kamitani with the flaming torrent to get the pin and the win. This is Syuri’s first win of the STRONG Women’s Title.
After the match during a press conference, Kamitani (who is currently the World of Stardom Champion) stated she will be taking a short break until her match against Starlight Kid in February. She worked 114 matches in 2025.
