Tay Melo Makes Her AEW Return And Thekla Dominates AEW Debut

It’s a 4-hour special Fyter Fest edition of AEW Dynamite and Collision tonight as we ramp up towards All In Texas.

For the past few weeks, Skye Blue and Julia Hart have been targeting AEW’s newest addition, Mina Shirakawa. Coming to the aid of Shirakawa tonight is the AEW Women’s World Champion “Timeless” Toni Storm, as they team up to take on this sisterhood of evil.

Things get interesting though, as “The CEO” Mercedes Moné will be on commentary for this match as she has plans on taking Storm’s world title come All In. But tonight, it seems she has her own dinner plans.

Storm and Shirakawa get a quick start, but the dark duo find their chance and separate Storm from her partner as she gets sent into the barricade. And Moné finally seems to be enjoying this matchup.

Storm finally gets the hot tag in and the two take it to both Blue and Hart. After using both their assets, Storm fades out Blue for the win.

Post-match, Storm decides to take it all in (pun intended).

During last week’s street fight, Penelope Ford and Megan Bayne checked off Harley Cameron on their list. And now this time, they both look to take out her partner Anna Jay. As they attempt to take her out for good, Tay Melo makes her triumphant return to AEW and makes the save.

After debuting last week on Dynamite at the expense of Jamie Hayter, Thekla is set to make her in-ring debut tonight against Lady Frost.

Frost gives it all she’s got, but unfortunately gets caught in Thekla’s web of offense. Thekla locks in the Death Trap and wins her AEW in-ring debut. Post-match, Thekla looks to eliminate Frost for good, but making the save is Queen Aminata.

Backstage, Aminata says she’s not scared of spiders and challenges Thekla to a match next week at Summer Blockbuster.
