Happy Thanksgiving Eve everyone! Tonight on AEW Dynamite we commence further with the AEW Women’s World Tag Team Title tournament after an eventful Full Gear this past weekend.
The first semi-finals matchup pits the Sisters of Sin, Julia Hart and Skye Blue, against The Babes of Wrath, Willow Nightingale and Harley Cameron. The two teams could not be more polar opposites, but have the same goal of taking it to the finals.
The Babes of Wrath look strong from the get-go, but get a little to ahead of themselves as Cameron tries to fight back.
Cameron gets a hot tag out to Nightingale and is all business. Blue is determined to put a stop to it, but Nightingale uses her strength to keep going. With some excellent teamwork, Nightingale hits the Babe with the Powerbomb on Hart to advance to the finals.
“Timeless” Toni Storm also makes her in-color appearance tonight and confronts Marina Shafir, whom she faces in the semi-finals in the tag title tournament. Per their victory at Full Gear, Storm and Mina Shirakawa get to pick a stipulation for their upcoming semi-final match. Exacting revenge for their loss at Blood & Guts, The Timeless Lovebombs challenge Shafir and Megan Bayne in a Hardcore Holiday Death Match next week.
Renee Paquette is backstage with Kris Statlander, and the AEW Women’s World Champion is ruling the galaxy after defending her title against Mercedes Moné at Full Gear. The champ has a lot of paths ahead of her, and wonders if the locker room is right along with her.
