It’s been a whirlwind of events ever since Victory Road, and tonight on TNA Impact, we continue along the bumpy road towards NXT Showdown and Bound For Glory with some jam-packed Knockouts action.
Frankie Kazarian opens up the show to deliver his King’s Speech with the TNA Knockouts World Champion, Kelani Jordan. Kazarian tries to convince Jordan that her win was a fluke, and all the Knockouts think so. But she responds and says her success isn’t a fluke.
Jordan gets caught up between Trick Williams, Matt Hardy, and Leon Slater, but she’s all about business as she defends her title at Bound For Glory. Her challenger, Indi Hartwell, comes out and says she respects her, but she plans to bring the Knockouts title back home to TNA.
Santino Marella arrives and plans a six-person tag team match pitting Hartwell, Hardy, and Slater against Jordan, Williams, and Kazarian.
After the break, we get a little preview of Bound For Glory as both Jordan and Hartwell try to score the pinfall. Kazarian gives Hartwell a cheap little push, and he eats his words with a hard right. Jordan, throughout the match, seems a little hesitant with her tag team partners.
Hartwell delivers a flying elbow towards Kazaria, and Jordan tosses her out of the ring. Chaos ensues, and Slater hits a Swanton 450 on Kazarian to pick up the win for his team.
Next, Mara Sadé talks about her journey in wrestling. From watching Total Divas, to getting her dream job, and unfortunately getting released from her dream. Despite it all, she found the light at the end of the tunnel.
The new team of The Angel Warriors, featuring Lei Ying Lee and Xia Brookside, are in action tonight. Their opponents: Kat Von Heez and Ava Lawless.
Both show their tag team prowess as they deliver dual 10 punches in the corner. But, Brookside gets ahead of herself as she gets cornered from Lee. She fights through and gets the hot tag out to Lee. Lee hits Thunderstruck and both hit their new tag team finisher, Heavens Sent, to pick up the win.
At Bound For Glory, Gia Miller is set to step into a TNA ring for the very first time against Tessa Blanchard. Miller’s hatred for Blanchard has been boiling for quite some time now, and she finally gets to put her hands on her at one of TNA’s biggest shows of the year.
Later, Blanchard responds to Miller’s warning and says that she has no respect for her. She gives a summary of their history and tells her to pack it up.
Tasha Steelz, accompanied by Order 4, is set to take on The First Lady of The System, Alisha Edwards. The once tag team partners have a score to settle as both their factions have been going at it for weeks.
This is Edwards’ first singles match in over a year, and Steelz is all over her throughout the match. As Order 4 and The System are both preoccupied, Steelz has kendo stick in hand. Edwards dodges it and grabs the kendo stick to her advantage. She hits the Pedigree and picks up the win.
Post-match, Steelz attacks Edwards from behind, and both try to lay hands on each other before they’re broken up.
In our main event, the TNA Knockouts World Tag Team Championship match as The Elegance Brand defends their titles against The IInspiration. The match was supposed to take place at Victory Road, but we finally go on with the match tonight.
Jessie McKay and Cassie Lee fend off M and Heather By Elegance and look very IInspirational doing so. But soon get ahead of themselves as The Elegance Brand corners Lee.
Lee makes the hot tag out to McKay, but M By Elegance plays her dirty tricks to stop any of their momentum. McKay finally tags out to Lee and takes it to Heather for a two count. George Iceman gets involved, and this allows Heather to rake Lee’s eyes and go for the pinfall, but only for it to get broken up.
Iceman gets involved again, but Heather ends up throwing champagne into M’s face. The IInspiration hit The IIdolizer and become the new TNA Knockouts World Tag Team Champions.
