Thekla Picks Up No Holds Barred Win Before All Out; The CEO Makes One Last Statement To Riho

It’s a September to Remember on this special edition of AEW Dynamite, and it’s also the go-home show before we head to Toronto for All Out this Saturday.

Speaking of this Saturday, the women of AEW are involved in a Tailgate Brawl as the forces of Willow Nightingale, Mina Shirakawa, Harley Cameron, and Queen Aminata take on the Triangle of Madness’ Julia Hart and Skye Blue, along with Megan Bayne and Penelope Ford.

The spotlight is all on the AEW Women’s World Champion, “Timeless” Toni Storm. She heads to All Out this Saturday to defend her championship against Jamie Hayter, Kris Statlander, and Thekla. Despite the odds, Storm is ready to burn to ashes for that title.

Hayter arrives and says she’s not a fan of the spotlight and tells her to remember three things. She never forgets, she got an invitation to the match, and Hayter hits hard. Statlander interrupts and says she hasn’t wrestled for the world title in four years, and this Saturday, they can’t stop Stat.

Thekla interrupts and is ready for her No Holds Barred match against her nemesis Queen Aminata. Aminata is ready for violence and continues to brawl with Thekla around ringside and into the crowd.

Aminata drives Thekla’s head from the ropes onto the trash can, but Thekla fires through as she spears Aminata through a chair.

The two butt heads, but that’s not enough to take out Thekla as she kicks out. Thekla catches Aminata on the top rope with a trash can lid and sends Aminata dropping. But as Thekla prays for her defeat, Aminata launches a chair at her and sends her crashing on another chair, only for a two-count.

Thekla gets Aminata right where she wants her and stomps her onto the chairs to pick up the win.

Thekla picks up the mic and sends a message to Storm. It’s short-lived as Storm comes to attack her. Hayter and Statlander get involved, but the rest of Triangle of Madness and Wheeler Yuta and Marina Shafir of The Deathriders also get involved. With Hayter all on her own, she looks to send a message of her own, but gets stopped in her tracks.

The TBS Champion, “The CEO” Mercedes Moné, is on commentary tonight for the upcoming match as Riho takes on Robyn Renegade. Riho heads to All Out this Saturday to challenge Moné for his TBS title.

Renegade toys with Riho at the start of the match, and “The CEO” is loving the punishment. However, Riho, with her quickness, ascends to the top rope and hits a crossbody to the outside and sends a message to Moné.

Riho gets her head stomped through in the corner, but manages to kick out. The first AEW Women’s World Champion fights through and hits a crucifix driver to pick up the win.

Post-match, Renegade traps Riho’s leg, and this allows Moné to backstab her in the middle of the ring. Moné has the last laugh, and they’ll say “konnichiwa” at All Out.
